This event has ended
The Lunacian Summer Breeding Event has started! Over the course of 50 days, Lunacians will be able to collect limited special-edition Summer body part skins from breeding Axies with specific parts.

There will be no breeding automation allowed for the duration of this event.
How to Obtain Axies with Summer Parts
For a chance at obtaining Summer parts, trainers will need to breed two Axies with very specific body parts. Each of these body part combinations has a percentage chance of producing a Summer part.
These parts will have the same stats as their respective existing parts, but with limited-edition skins.
Below you will find a visual guide for which original parts you will need in order to obtain the corresponding Summer part.
Trainers can breed Axies with multiple compatible parts in one breeding session to increase their chances of obtaining a Summer part (or multiple Summer parts).
For example, you can breed one Axie with Silence Whisper + Neo with another Axie that has Risky Fish + Blossom for a chance to get an Axie with both Bubble Fish and Summer Sunglasses.
Please note that in order to obtain a Summer part, your new Axie will need to have acquired a specific dominant trait of one of its parents (please see Summer Part Formulas infographic).
For example, an Axie with Neo that is bred with an Axie with Blossom will produce an offspring with Flower Sunglasses ONLY IF the Neo dominant gene is carried over to the child.
If the child has Blossom (or anything other than Neo) as its dominant gene, it will not have a Summer part.
Summer parts are also hereditary. This means that Axies with Summer parts can pass these traits down to their children for the duration of the event. Once the event has concluded, you will no longer be able to obtain these parts and the next generation will instead have normal body parts.
How to Obtain Axies with Summer Body
An Axie that is born with 6 Summer parts will automatically also have the Summer body. The Summer body can also be inherited by children of Axies that already have the skin, regardless of the amount of Summer parts these children may have. It is only possible to inherit the Summer body within the duration of the event. Each class of Axie has its own unique Summer body skin.
How to Obtain Axies with Shiny Summer Parts
When compatible body parts come together to produce Summer parts, each Summer part has a chance of mutating into a Shiny part.
All Summer parts will have a 1% chance of being a Shiny part, making them extremely rare. If you breed two Axies with 6/6 Summer parts, the chance for a Shiny part increases to 5%.
Summer Breeding Event FAQ
Please check our Axie Breeding Guide to learn how to breed Axies.
Am I guaranteed to get a Summer part when breeding?
For all parts except Vanilla Ice Cream and Turtle Buoy, children are guaranteed to have a summer part IF the correct dominant gene is passed down.
An Axie that correctly inherits the dominant genes necessary to get Vanilla Ice Cream and Turtle Buoy will have a 13% chance of obtaining these Summer parts.
Do the Summer parts provide any stat bonuses to the Axies?
Summer parts do not provide any stat bonuses and are purely cosmetic features.
Can Axies with Summer parts/body pass them on to their children?
Summer parts/bodies are hereditary and have the possibility of being passed down to a new generation for the duration of the breeding event.
Shiny parts cannot be inherited and can instead be passed down as normal summer parts. So, an Axie with a Shiny Turtle Buoy can have children that have normal Turtle Buoy.
Will recessive genes influence how Summer parts are passed down?
While Summer parts are hereditary, there is a way to calculate the possibility of it being passed down to a new generation for the duration of the breeding event with Recessive Genes. To learn more about Recessive Genes you may check the Axie Breeding Guide.
Note: the calculation below only applies when you try to breed an Axie that already has a Summer part.
Please refer to the example below for the calculation;
Scenario 1:
Axie #1: (D) Watermelon Ice Cream, (R1) Unko, (R2) Unko
Axie #2: (D) UNKO, (R1) Unko, (R2) Unko
The chance to get Watermelon Ice Cream will be;37.5% + 9.375% + 3.125% = 50%
Scenario 2:
Axie #1: (D) Watermelon Ice Cream, (R1) Unko, (R2) Unko
Axie #2: (D) ANY HORN PARTS/NOT UNKO, (R1) Unko, (R2) Unko
The chance to get Watermelon Ice Cream will be;37.5% + 9.375% + 3.125% + 9.375% + 3.125% = 62.5%
What happens if the eggs hatched after the summer event?
Eggs hatched after the event will not have summer skins.
