App.Axie Governance - Voting Delegation

Every Lunacian’s voice matters in shaping our digital nation through Axie Governance. Delegation allows you to pass rights to your voting power to a wallet address of your choice, for a specific Axie Proposal.

When you use the Delegate Vote feature, you are simply allowing another user
to cast your voting power on your behalf.

This will delegate your exact voting power not affected by the delegatee’s
personal Axie Score and Staked AXS, nor does it affect their
own personal voting power formula.

How to Delegate Voting Power

You can only delegate your Voting Power to another user who hasn’t voted for the proposal yet. Follow these steps to securely delegate your voting power to another account.

STEP 1. Navigate to the official Axie Governance Voting Portal and locate the Delegate Vote button.

NOTE: Delegate Vote & Cast Vote  buttons will only appear when a user has voting power. When you have 0 Voting power, this option will not appear.

STEP 2. Click the button to open the form, then paste the Ronin address or RNS of the trusted delegate. Review the address, then click Delegate.

STEP 3. Your connected wallet will prompt you to approve the transaction. Click Confirm in your wallet to authorize the delegation. A confirmation message will appear on the portal screen once your voting power has been successfully delegated to another user.

If the intended delegatee’s address has already been used to cast a vote, you will not be able to delegate your vote to the same address and will result in the following error:

How to Vote using Delegated Voting Power

If you have received delegated voting power for a specific AIP, follow these steps to cast a vote on behalf of your delegator/s.

STEP 1. Navigate to the official Axie Governance Voting Portal to view the active proposal. For the current/specific AIP you wish to vote on, click the Cast Vote button.

Click View breakdown to confirm your total voting power, including the delegated amount.

STEP 2. In the dialog box that appears, select your vote from the options, then click Submit Vote. Approve the transaction by signing with your connected wallet (e.g., Ronin Wallet) to register the vote on the blockchain.

STEP 3. A confirmation prompt will appear once your vote has been successfully recorded.

NOTE: The vote will be made for you and the delegator. After you have voted, the delegation will disappear, and both users will see on their interface that they have already voted.

How to Revoke Voting Power Delegation

Step 1: Navigate to the proposal you delegated your Voting Power for and click Revoke Delegation.

Step 2: Approve the wallet transaction confirming the revocation of the delegation. You’ll receive a confirmation message regarding the successful revocation of the delegation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can multiple users delegate to a single address?

A: YES. One address can cast a vote for the combined voting power of all its delegators (max 100 users).

Q: Do you need to vote separately for each of your delegators, and yourself?

A: NO. Once you cast a vote, you cast the same vote for all your delegators, including yourself if you have voting power.

Q: Can two addresses delegate their votes to each other?

A: YES. Nonetheless, if two addresses delegate votes to each other, only one will be able to cast a vote. Whoever casted the vote first will be final for both.

Q: Is the voting power delegation permanent and will apply to all succeeding AIP?

A: NO, at least not for now. Currently, delegation only applies to a specific AIP. Improvements to the delegation system will be available in the future.

Q: If I have already casted my vote, can I still be delegated to vote again?

A: NO. All accounts can only vote once, either via self vote and/or delegated vote.

Q: When a delegatee casts a vote, is the delegated voting power consolidated and displayed only under the delegatee's name on the public list of voters?

A: NO, the voting power is not consolidated under the delegatee's name on the public list. When the delegatee casts the vote, the vote is recorded on the public list for both the delegator and the delegatee as separate entries. This ensures the voting power remains linked to the original wallet address for full transparency.

Q: Can I still revoke my delegation after the delegatee casts their vote?

A: NO. Once the delegatee casts the vote, it is final and cannot be changed nor revoked.

Q: Can I delegate my vote to an address that doesn't have voting power?

A: YES. Any address can be a delegatee and cast vote as a representative.
