The Codex is the new battle pass feature on App.Axie that lets players earn a variety of rewards, including extra Bounty Board Points, accessories, bAXS, Spirit Clay, and more, depending on the chosen path.
Players can earn Codex Points by completing daily bounties on the Bounty Board. As users accumulate more Codex Points, they progress through the Codex and unlock new rewards.
How to Access The Codex
In order to access the Codex, access App.Axie and log in to your account. If you haven't created an account yet, please check our Getting Started with Axie Infinity article to get started.
Once signed in, you can go to the Codex by clicking the icon below on the App.Axie sidebar.
You can also click Bounties on the top right corner of the site > Go to Bounty Board.
Overview
Choosing Path Order
When you initially access the Codex’s Overview page, you’ll be prompted to choose your desired path order. You can drag and drop to arrange the paths in your preferred order, then click Confirm order.
Once you are sure with your path order, click Confirm.
NOTE: Once you confirm, the 1st path will be locked but you can change the priority of the 2nd and 3rd at a later time.
Changing Path Order
If you want to change the path order of the 2nd and 3rd paths, access the Codex’s Overview page and click Change path order.
Drag and drop the paths to arrange them in your preferred order then click Confirm & lock path priority.
NOTE: You can change path priority as long as you haven’t started progressing with either of the paths yet.
Free Path and Premier Path
After choosing your desired path order, you can view the reward details for the current Codex season, check the remaining time before the season ends, track your current progress, and claim your unlocked Codex rewards.
The Codex has two paths: Free and Premier.
The Free Path is available to all players and lets them earn additional Bounty Board Points by completing daily bounties and reaching certain Codex Points/levels.
Each Premier Path can be unlocked for 4 bAXS, granting additional benefits after reaching certain Milestones [depending on the unlocked path] such as:
- Free 2 rerolls per bounty and bonus Milestone Rewards points.
- Additional quest slot.
- Increased Master Quest chance on rerolls.
- Access to the Black Kiln.
- The ability to mint this season’s completed Codex Orb to your inventory once you complete all three Premier paths.
Players on the Premier Paths can earn extra rewards, including accessories, bAXS, and Spirit Clay. The Premier Paths can be activated at any time during the season. Once activated, players can claim the Premier rewards for all levels they have already completed on the Free Path.
How to Activate the Premier Path of the Codex
On the Overview tab, click the Buy X More Paths to activate Premier paths.
Choose the paths you want to activate, then click on Activate and confirm the transaction with your wallet. Each path costs 4 bAXS [or 4 AXS if you don’t have enough bAXS].
Gifting Premier Path Access
On the Overview page, you will have the option to gift Premier Path access for all 3 paths to another person for 12 bAXS [or 12 AXS if you don’t have enough bAXS].
NOTE: You can’t gift Premier Path access to a person who already activated 1 Premier Path.
Step 1: Click Gift Codex.
Step 2: Enter the recipient’s wallet address/RNS under Recipient and click Gift.
Step 3: Confirm the transaction in your wallet.
Earning Codex Points and Unlocking Rewards
To unlock rewards, players must reach certain levels or earn the required number of Codex Points by completing daily bounties within the current season.
Premier Path must be activated each season to access its exclusive rewards. Once a new season begins, progress will reset, and unclaimed perks (i.e., Ascendant Spring, Black Kiln) from the previous season will no longer be available.
⚠️ Don't Forget to claim your rewards before the end of a Codex season. Once a Codex season ends, progression rewards will no longer be claimable.
Instantly Complete Path with Codex Orb
If you want to fast-track your progress, you can use a Codex Orb to instantly complete your current path.
Step 1: Click the Unleash Codex Orb button on the Codex screen.
Step 2: Select the specific orb you wish to use, click Unleash, then confirm the transaction with your wallet.
This action instantly completes all levels of your active path, granting you immediate access to all of the path's rewards.
NOTE: A Codex Orb can only be unleashed once per season.
How to Claim Your Codex Rewards
To claim your reward, simply select the unlocked reward in the Overview tab of The Codex and confirm the transaction with your wallet.
If you’ve unlocked multiple rewards, you can use the Claim all reward button to collect them at once.
After claiming a reward, a checkmark will appear to indicate it’s already been claimed.
Daily Bounties
In this tab, you can find a variety of bounties available for dedicated players. By completing bounties, players can:
- Earn Bounty Board points that contribute to a shared bAXS prize pool.
- Receive additional bAXS rewards for completing some Master Bounties (available on a first-come, first-served basis). Each Master bounty has a chance of including extra bAXS rewards.
- Gain Codex Points to progress through the current Codex Season.
The bounties in the Bounty Board vary every day. There are 4 different difficulty rarities, and each grants an increasing number of Bounty Board and Codex points upon completion awarded: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, and Master.
- Basic: 30 Codex Points
- Intermediate: 50 Codex Points
- Advanced: 120 Codex Points
- Master: 200 Codex Points
Each player gets 6 bounties every day, split into 3 App.Axie quests and Axie Ecosystem quests.
Each rarity has a different chance of appearing on your bounty board, with Basic being the most common and Master being the rarest. You may check all the available bounties and the base chance for each rarity by clicking the Details button.
Requirements to Participate
To start earning points from the Daily Bounties, you will need to have 3 Axies in your Ronin Wallet. Make sure the Axies stay in your wallet until the end of the day so that you can keep the points you earned during that day.
If you don’t have enough Axies, you may purchase some from the App.Axie Marketplace. Once you have the required amount of Axies, you will be eligible to earn Bounty Board and Codex points from completing bounties immediately.
NOTE: If you do not have at least 3 Axies before the daily reset, you will lose the points you got from bounties on the previous day.
Milestone Rewards
Milestone rewards are additional points you can get when you complete a certain number of quests. The more bounties you complete, the more extra points you get. You can get a total of 550 extra points per day by completing all of your Bounty Board quests.
NOTE: Milestone rewards do not grant extra Codex Points, just BP Points.
4 quests - 50 Points
5 quests - 150 Points
6 quests - 350 Points
Re-rolling Bounties
The Bounty Board offers the ability for players to re-roll bounties. Each bounty can be re-rolled a total of 10 times, with further re-rolls costing more Slips in exchange for guaranteed minimum bounty rarity. The 10 re-roll limit for each bounty is reset daily.
When you re-roll a bounty, you will get a different bounty, with a chance of getting a different rarity based on the Quest Rarity rates. If you are aiming to get the highest number of points, re-rolling is important to get higher rarity bounties that grants more points.
NOTES
(1) Bounties that are already assigned to you will not be included in the pool of bounties available for re-roll; therefore, a player will not get two of the same bounty on the same day.
(2) The quest logic also prevents the same parent quest from appearing in multiple slots. For example, if you roll a quest that requires releasing [any Beast] class axie, you will not be able to roll that quest from the same tier (e.g., any Reptile, any Bird, etc.)

Extra bAXS Rewards from Master Bounties
You might be wondering, why would you want to re-roll bounties? The answer is extra bAXS rewards.
Available only for Master bounties, you can get additional bAXS rewards upon completion by completing this type of bounty. These are added to your claimable rewards at the end of the week. In addition to that, Master bounties also give the highest amount of points, giving you a chance at a bigger portion of the Premier Pool, making it ideal to re-roll for Master bounties.
NOTE: Not all Master bounties have extra bAXS rewards. You only have a 25% chance of getting a Master bounty with extra bAXS rewards, until the Master Quest Pool is depleted.
But make haste, the Master Bounty reward pool is limited. Once the Master Quest pool runs out, you will no longer gain extra rewards from completing Master bounties. You can check how much bAXS has been claimed on the reward pool section of the page.
Once the Master Quest pool is depleted, you can still complete Master bounties but you will no longer get any extra rewards.
NOTE: The extra bAXS rewards from Master bounties are added to your claimable amount at the end of every week.
Leaderboard
Stay ahead of the competition! Users can look at the accumulated points and master quest earnings of those participating on the bounty board.
On top of the weekly rewards that players can earned from Bounty Board points, additional bonus reward will be distributed to the top 3000th players in varying amount depending on placements. You can click Bonus Reward on the Leaderboard section to check the rewards.
Bounties Completion
After completing a bounty, you will need to verify your completion of the task by clicking the Verify button. Make sure you verify before the board resets so that you get the points.
Verifying a bounty that you haven’t completed will lead to the following error message:
Completed bounties will be marked with a “Completed” status next to them.
Scoreboard & Reward System
The top 3000 players will get a portion of the Premier Pool for the Bounty Board depending on how many points they accumulated compared to the total points accumulated by all players for that week.
You’ll be able to see your current score on the right side of the Daily Bounties page, along with a percentile of how you’re performing compared to other players.
Every Monday at 03:00 UTC, the system takes a snapshot of the points accumulated for that week and uses that to calculate the bAXS rewards for each player.
NOTE: The rewards are linked to your Ronin address, not your account. If you change the wallet linked to your account before you claim the pending rewards, you can only claim the previous rewards using the old address. Make sure to claim any pending rewards before switching to a different wallet.
Claiming Bounty Board Rewards
Each player will be able to claim their weekly bAXS reward from the Bounty Board on App.Axie under the claimable reward section.
NOTE: Rewards will be distributed and available for claiming approximately 48 hours after the snapshot.
To claim your bAXS rewards for the week once the rewards have been distributed, make sure that you are in the right Ronin wallet account, then simply follow the quick steps below:
Step 1: Navigate to the right side of the Daily Bounties page, and click on the Claim button.
Step 2: Confirm the transaction using your Ronin wallet. You will get a confirmation message like the image below once you have successfully claimed your bAXS.
NOTE: If you haven't yet claimed your rewards, they will continue to accumulate and remain available for claiming at any time in the future. These rewards are stackable, meaning the amount can be combined with future rewards distribution.
