Adapt collectible axies to the Origins meta with Meta Morph, an in-game feature in Axie Origins. This feature allows collectible axies to morph their cards into any other card of an axie that you own in the game for that body part, making them more versatile for battle. With Meta Morph, you'll be able to change their cards, enhancing their competitiveness in the Origins arena.
Understanding Meta Morph Mechanics
In-game Effects To Your Axies
- Potential points of an axie will change based on the class of the morphed cards.
- After morphing, all charms equipped on that axie will be unequipped.
- Visual Changes
- Morphed axies will retain their original visual appearance outside of battles.
- When a battle starts, the morphed axies will first transition to their morphed visual and then display a visible aura around them throughout the battle.
On-chain Effects & Changes
Once you morphed your axies, there are no changes that happen on-chain. But we have to take note of the following:
- The level of the morphed card is based on the level of the initial base card.
- If an axie part that is upgraded is level 2, its morphed version also becomes level 2.
- Transferring an axie to a different account will reset all its morphed cards.
Morphing Requirements & Success Rates
To be able to Meta Morph, you will need to have the following assets and materials:
Available Parts for Meta Morph
In order to be able to Meta Morph your collectible axies’ parts into specific parts, you will need to own an axie that has the part to be morphed into.
NOTE: Transferring this axie out will not reset your morphed parts. The axie with the specific part is only required during Meta Morph for your collectible axie.
Collectible Axie
The number of maximum potential morphed cards varies based on your Collectible axie's tier.
Moreover, the default success rate depends on the collection and the amount of morphed cards an axie already has. You can increase the success rate by adding more SLP into the Morph.
Materials
The quantity of items needed to morph a card as well as the success rate depend on the axie collection to be transformed. The required items are as follows:
-
Class Badges
- 50% for the base card class
- 50% for the morphed card class
If the morphing fails, you will receive back 50% of the Class badges.
-
Smooth Love Potion (SLP)
- Base SLP requirement for default success rate (check table below)
- Investing an additional 100 SLP increases the success rate by 5%
If the morphing fails, you will lose all the SLP used.
How to Meta Morph Collectible Axies
It’s time to turn your collectible axies into Origins Arena’s fiercest meta contenders!
Step 1: Go to the details page of the axies you want to morph, then click the morph icon on the upper-right.
Step 2: Select a part that you wish to change, then click the + button.
Step 3: Select the card you wish your base card to be morphed into.
NOTE: You can only choose from cards from parts of other axies that you currently have.
Step 4: You’ll see the materials needed for the morph, as well as the success chance. You will be able to increase the SLP cost to increase the success chance. Click on Morph once you are ready to morph.
Step 5: Confirm the morph by clicking Morph again. After a few seconds, you’ll see the results of your morphing.
If the morph succeeds, you’ll see a Success screen.
If the morph fails, you’ll see a Failed screen. You’ll then get back 50% of the materials used to morph the axie, except for the SLP.
How to Revert Morphed Cards
Morphed cards can be reverted at any time in the Meta Morph menu without extra cost. But take in mind that reverting a morphed card will not return the items during morphing.
To revert a card, simply choose the original card on the Meta Morph screen. If the original card is chosen, the Revert button would show up. Click the button and confirm the reversion to revert to the original card.
