Classic Competitive Circuit

The Axie Classic Competitive Circuit is a series of competitions that will take place throughout the year. Guild Wars, Season Championship & finally the Axie Classic World Cup. We’ve put a total of 57K AXS on the line for this year’s competitions. That’s a whopping $400K USD at today’s prices! How much will you take home? Here’s what the Axie Classic Competitive Circuit is going to look like:

Note: Guild Seasons will now be referred to as Competitive Seasons as each season will have competitions focused for both Guilds & Individual Players

Grand Tournament

Registration for the Grand Tournament is now live! Compete in five rounds of intense battles to earn Guild Points and secure your place in the Season Championship.

Tournament phases

The tournament is divided into three phases to prepare and better accommodate trainers who wish to participate.

• Phase 1: First phase is the Registration Period which will last for one week.
  - Registration Cost: 150 Gold
  
  

• Phase 2: Trainers will be divided into groups with their own leaderboard.
  - Round 1:
  

  • Duration: 2 Days

  • Matches per player: 10
  • 1 GP earned per Match Win
  • Winners: Top 30 players from each group receive 75 Gold each and qualify for Round 2

  
  - Round 2:
  

  • Duration: 1 Day

  • Matches per player: 10
  • 2 GP earned per Match Win
  • Winners: Top 50 players from each group receive 150 Gold each and qualify for Round 3

  
  - Round 3:
  

  • Duration: 1 Day

  • Matches per player: 10
  • 3 GP earned per Match Win
  • Winners: Top 25 players from each group receive 225 Gold each and qualify for Round 4

  
  - Round 4:
  

  • Duration: 1 Day

  • Matches per player: 10
  • 4 GP earned per Match Win
  • Winners: Top 15 players from each group receive 300 Gold and qualify for Round 5

  
  - Round 5:
  

  • Duration: 3 Days

  • Matches per player: 25
  • 5 GP earned per Match Win
  • Winners: Top 100 players will receive 450 Gold and 1 AXS each. Top 16 players will also qualify for the Season Championship.
    
  • If multiple players have the same points, the Kill-Death-Round (K-D-R) of the players will be used as the tiebreaker, and the player with the better K-D-R will secure the higher position.

  
  General Rules

  • 1 win = 1 point

  • 1 loss = 0 points

  • Draw = match doesn’t count

  • Players can switch teams between matches

• Phase 3: The Top 16 players will participate in the Season Championship.

Guild Wars

Guild Wars will be a quarterly tournament leading to the Axie Classic Guild World Cup, where the qualified guilds will have the chance to compete for a 10K AXS prize pool at the end of the competitive circuit! Here’s how guilds can qualify:

Earn Placement Points by placing in the Top 10 during the Seasonal Guild Leaderboard → Qualify for Guild Wars → Reach the Top 8 in Guild Wars → Qualify for the Guild World Cup

Here’s how many Placement Points a Guild can earn during a Guild Leaderboard Season:

• 1st place: 25 points
• 2nd place: 18 points
• 3rd place: 15 points
• 4th place: 12 points
• 5th place: 10 points
• 6th place: 8 points
• 7th place: 6 points
• 8th place: 4 points
• 9th place: 2 points
• 10th place: 1 point

Guild Wars is the ultimate test of teamwork, and only the fiercest guilds will make it to the Guild World Cup. The champions will make Lunacian history. Does your guild have what it takes?

Season Championship

The Axie Classic Competitive Circuit also has a division for individual competitors in the form of Season Championship! A total of 27K AXS is up for grab for individual competitors. In the Axie Classic Season Championship, 16 players will compete for a share in a 2,000 AXS prize pool, a spot in the Axie Classic World Cup, and the title of the Season Champion.

Grand Tournament Finals are being replaced by Season Championship with an increased prize pool of 2,000 AXS. All Season Championships will be hosted during the off season. Here’s how to qualify for the Season Championship for each Competitive Season:

• Place Top 8 in the Grand Tournament Knockout Phase
• Place Top 8 on the Seasonal Arena Leaderboard
  • Arena Leaderboards will now reset each competitive season along with the Guild Leaderboards

We have concluded 4 Grand Tournaments so far. Up next, we will have 11 Season Championships lined up for this competitive circuit. All Grand Tournament Champions & Season Champions will be directly qualified for the Axie Classic World Cup.

For the upcoming Season Championships, If a player is able to become a Season Champion for multiple seasons, the qualifying slot from the repeated Season Championship win will be given to the runner up. Also, for the previously concluded GTs, only the unique champions will qualify to the World Cup. Recently completed GT4 had a repeat winner so GT4 would not contribute to a World Cup qualifying slot. This makes for a total of 14 direct qualifications for the Axie Classic World Cup. 3 Qualified from past GTs & 11 from the upcoming Season Championships. There will be 2 qualification slots still remaining after the conclusion of all Season Championships, which will be filled by a separate qualifier just before the World Cup commences. More details on that to follow at a later date.

This format could change each season. The Grand Tournament could be replaced by a more competitive mode, or we could rely entirely on the Individual Leaderboard seeding once it is live.
