This guide provides an overview of the commands and functions available in the tipping bot on the Axie Discord.
Overview
The Tipping bot allows you and other Discord users to send and receive small tips. It provides you with everything you need to show your support and gratitude towards other members of the community.
Commands
Accepting Terms of Service (TOS)
When you use the tipping bot for the first time, instead of executing the command you sent, the bot requires you to read and accept the Terms of Service. This is mandatory. Make sure to thoroughly read through the linked document.
The bot will send you a direct message to confirm that you have accepted the terms of service.
Connect your wallet
To send and receive tips you must link your Ronin wallet using /set-wallet
. One Ronin wallet can only be linked to a single Discord account. Use the /set-wallet command to start linking your wallet.
If your wallet was connected successfully the bot will confirm this to you. In case of an error the bot will instead show you an error message.
Important: If you used your RNS name it is used only once to resolve to your Ronin
wallet address. If your wallet address changes you must use the /set-wallet command
again to update it!
If you have direct messages enabled the tipping bot will also DM you the confirmation message for you to have a personal log about any changes made to your connected wallet.
Deposit Token Into The Bot
To send tokens to other Discord users you first have to deposit tokens into the bot. This requires that you have connected your wallet. Use /deposit
to see the supported tokens and where you have to send them to deposit them.
Important: You must send tokens from your connected wallet address and only
to the deposit address shown to you. If you send from another address or not to
the correct deposit wallet your tokens are lost and cannot be recovered.
Once you send your tokens please be patient. Deposits can take up to 5 minutes to be processed.
Check Your Balances
If you want to know how many tokens you currently have stored in the tipping bot, use /balance
The bot will then show you all the tokens you have and their balance. If a balance is 0 that particular token will not be shown.
Withdrawing Token To Your Ronin Wallet
To withdraw tokens from your wallet you can use the /withdraw command followed by the token you want to withdraw and the amount. If you hit send your withdrawal request is verified and if done successfully put into the withdrawal queue.
If the bot can validate your request it is send to the withdrawal queue and processed shortly after:
Check Your Deposits And Withdrawals
To check your withdrawal and deposit history use the /history
command. The bot will then show you your five most recent deposits or withdrawals. To see your full history, simply click the "Show All". It displays the user's five most recent deposits or withdrawals with a link to view the full overview on a browser.
Pending withdrawals will also show in the web view.
For privacy reasons, the web links expire after 15 mins.
Show Your Connected Wallet Address
To check which ronin wallet you currently have connected to your Discord account simply use /wallet
.
Send a Tip To Someone
Use the /tip command to send some of the token in your balance to another user. The receiving user must also have their wallet connected.
The <user>
field allows for the selection of a user from the server member list. It updates as you start typing.
The <amount>
supports whole numbers 1
,2
, etc; as well as fractions: 1.2
,0,9
. It accepts period {.} and comma {,} as decimal points.
When you hit send the tip won't be executed immediately. Instead the bot replies with a confirmation prompt. Make sure to check the amount and receiving user. Once you hit confirm there is no way to revert the top. If you find something wrong click the cancel button. In that case no token leaves your account.
If you click Confirm instead the bot will send a message only visible to you that shows your old and new token balance.
Additionally a message is sent to the same channel the tip command was issued. This message is public and announces the tip to the community.
Raining RON Token
If you want to distribute any amount of your RON to the community you can use /rain to do so. The rain command creates a message for everyone to see. Every user on the Discord now has the chance to click the Join button within 5 minutes. The bots message is updated every 5 seconds showing the number of participants. When time countdown expires the bot does its magic and distributes the total RON to all participating users.
Start a new rain by selecting RON and an amount to distribute.
Make sure to check the amount before confirming the rain. Once confirmed the token are debited from your balance and you cannot cancel it.
Once Confirmed, the bot will send a message like this to the channel:
If you click the join button the bot will confirm your participation by showing you the following message. Once joined you cannot leave the same rain.
If you already joined and click the button again you will instead get this message.
Getting Help
To get an overview of available commands simply use the /help command. It shows you a list of commands that you can simply click to see more options.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I accidentally send unsupported tokens to the Tip Bot?
Once a transaction is completed, the control over the funds transfers from the sender to the recipient. Consequently, if unsupported tokens are sent to the tipping bot, regrettably, we are unable to facilitate a refund or recovery of these assets. We encourage users to verify the supported tokens list before initiating a transaction to prevent such situations.
What occurs if the Bot becomes unavailable?
Our priority is to maintain the bot's operational status at all times. However, should the bot experience downtime for any reason, users will be unable to perform manual withdrawals while the service is not accessible. Rest assured, your funds will be securely held in the central wallet and will be accessible once the bot's services are restored.
What if I lose access to my Discord account?
The security and management of your Discord account are crucial, as the funds stored in the bot are linked directly to your Discord ID. In instances where access to a Discord account is lost due to hacking or banning, we are unable to reallocate or restore access to the funds associated with that account. We urge users to maintain the security of their Discord accounts to prevent such losses.
Can I cancel or reverse a tip or rain if I confirm it by mistake?
We emphasize the importance of careful confirmation of all transactions. Once an action, such as tipping or raining, is confirmed, it is irreversible. This policy is in place to maintain the integrity and finality of transactions within our platform.
What happens if there is an error during a command execution?
Despite our robust error handling mechanisms, there is a slim chance of an operational mishap resulting in a command execution error. Should you encounter a loss of funds due to such an error, we commit to thoroughly investigating the issue. Our goal is to rectify the problem and, where possible, compensate the affected user. However, in situations where recovery is not feasible, we must inform you that the funds may not be retrievable.
These policies are designed to protect the interests of our user community and ensure the smooth operation of our services, while also aligning with legal requirements and standards.
